Existing: (Self) Competence/Confidence
To experience the realistic and objective confidence that you have the skills to achieve in the world of work and to feel that your skills are making a positive contribution.

Proposed: Competence/ConfidenceHaving realistic confidence in one’s skills to achieve professional and personal goals and make a positive contribution.

Rationale: Simpler. No need to prefix with "self"

Final: Confidence that you have the skills and abilities to achieve personal and professional goals.

2020:

Confidence that you have the skills and abilities to achieve personal and professional goals.

    Perhaps:
    Understanding & using one’s skills to achieve professional and personal goals and make a positive contribution.

    having the realistic and observable ability to use my skills to achieve what's required, professionally and personally,and feel my skills are making a positive contribution.

    this takes the word being defined out of the definition and keeps the opportunity for people to explore their feelings about their skills making a contribution
