" This is a means value in the Wisdom Cluster and supports the Goal Values of Intimacy/Solitude and Truth/Wisdom/Integrated Insight. This value appears to have a similar ordering function in the Wisdom Cluster as Detachment/Solitude in the New Order Cluster.

When you achieve transcendence, you have gone beyond ordinary limitations. The word is often used to describe a spiritual or religious state, or a condition of moving beyond physical needs and realities.

ReplyDeleteI have some confusion with this one.. I am not sure if it is possible to separate the word transcendence from the idea of a greater power. Global vision implies human understanding or creation and transcendence means beyond human experience. Perhaps leave that out?
ReplyDeleteAlso are you assuming spiritual practice is practicing detachment and that people will understand that or that there are many types of spiritual practice?
Suggestion: Spiritual practices in support of transcendence.
ps.. I appreciate how you have so carefully noted the means values and which goal values they support in which cluster. I do not have a complete list of such information and am wondering if I can have one.

for me this keeps the essence of transcendence as being moving beyond what is believed to exist in current ‘reality’ to ‘see’ something big enough for the whole planet
