Existing: To restrain your feelings and control your personal interests for the purpose of physical survival in this world.

Suggestion: Physically survive by holding back your personal feelings and interests

New Label: Self Interest/Control Old label: (Self) Interest/Control

Final: To attempt to control the world around you in order to ensure personal survival.

    I appreciate the perception one may have about physical survival but the wording seems a little extreme plus despite how one may feel, it is usually a false or at least exaggerated perception.

    Perhaps: To guard your safety by restraining your feelings and personal interests.
