118. Unity/Control

Existing: To create harmony and agreement in an institution to the end of achieving efficiency, order, loyalty and conformity to established norms.

Suggestion: To create harmony and agreement as a way of achieving efficiency, loyalty and compliance

New Label (2008): Unity/Control Old Label: Unity/Uniformity

At a GTM meeting 17 August 2010 we agreed to change Unity/Control => Unity/Standardization

Final (2010): Unity/Standiszation. Establishing and maintaining efficiency, order, loyalty and conformity to established norms.

2020:
G & P suggest removing Unity from label

  1. I like the suggestion but would prefer to keep conformity rather than introduce compliance - the latter term smacks of something that is enforced or enforceable which doesn't really go with the harmony/agreement aspect
