I don't understand the "singleness" bit within something also labelled diversity - when I have read this value in the past I have mentally skated over the "unity" part of the title - don't know if anyone else feels the same?
ReplyDeleteI also do not understand the word singleness as it relates to this descriptor. It must refer to something I am unaware of.
ReplyDeletemy understanding of the label is that unity is created through accepting and encouraging/celebrating differences. I think it might be possible to avoid confusion by dropping Unity in the label and including the concept in the descriptor.
Perhaps:
To appreciate, encourage and celebrate differences that enrich and unify group membership and systems within our interconnected universe.
